Fabian Marozsan vs Andrey Rublev prediction
Fabian Marozsan got through to the next stage of the Qatar Open as he produced a strong display to defeat Ugo Humbert in straight sets. Humbert had competed in Rotterdam last week and was sluggish throughout as Marozsan did not even face a break point on his way to a 6-3 6-1 triumph.
He now goes up against defending champion Andrey Rublev. The Russian beat Jesper de Jong in straight sets. Rublev was knocked out of the Australian Open in the third-round and hadn’t competed for over three weeks, and that may have contributed to a slow start as De Jong raced into a 3-0 lead in the first set. However, Rublev fought his way back into the match and he went on to win 6-4 6-3.
The head-to-head is tied at 2-2, with Marozsan winning their last meeting in Rome last year. Both players thrive offensively, but Rublev should be able to limit the errors off either wing and continue his strong record at the event.
