Eva Lys hasn’t competed on tour since her tough second round Wimbledon defeat at the hands of Linda Noskova in a match that went to three sets. To get into the third round of such a prestigious Grand Slam would’ve really seen people sit up and take notice of the progress that is being made by the 23-year-old on tour.

Leolia Jeanjean knows what it takes to defeat Lys however, having done so last time the two players collided back in the 2024 Australian Open qualifying rounds, the year prior to Lys reaching the fourth round before losing to Iga Swiatek. Whilst Lys hasn’t be playing much Tennis across the last couple of weeks, Jeanjean has already got back accustomed to the hard court in serious competition.
