Eva Lys began her grass court campaign with a hard-fought win over Magdalena Frech in the first-round of the German Open, but she unable to generate further momentum as she was brushed aside by Elina Sviotlina in the next round. Lys has struggled with form and fitness for much of this campaign up to now and has not won back-to-back matches in 2026.
She will go up against Emma Navarro at the Bad Homburg Open. Navarro won the third tour-level title of her career in Strasbourg last month.
