Ethan Quinn vs Marin Cilic prediction
Ethan Quinn advanced to the next round of the Dallas Open after a straight sets win over Zachary Svajda. The American went an early break down but recovered and went on to take the first set on a tiebreak. The second set was on serve until Quinn broke in the 11th game, and he served it out to win 7-6 (3) 7-5.
He will now take on Marin Cilic. The former Grand Slam champion produced a brilliant display in round one to defeat Learner Tien. The 20-year-old was coming into this event after his first appearance in the quarter-final of a major at the Australian Open, but he struggled to deal with the quality of hitting from Cilic, who also won 87% of first serve points. He was broken when serving for the match but held his nerve in the tiebreak to win 7-5 7-6 (4).
Cilic will be the slight favourite, and he will give himself a strong chance of victory if he replicates his display in the previous round against another American.
