Ethan Quinn vs Henry Searle prediction
Ethan Quinn made it into the top 100 of the world rankings after his outstanding run at Roland Garros, where he came through qualifying and made it all the way to the third-round. He was unable to get out of qualifying for Halle in his next event but managed to do so in Mallorca. Quinn also won his first-round match against Camilo Ugo Carabelli before losing out to Tallon Griekspoor.
He faces Henry Searle in the first-round of Wimbledon. Searle, who won the boys’ title here two years ago, was handed a wildcard and will make his major debut at the All England Club. He has struggled to make a real impact in the grass court events leading up to it, failing to get out of qualifying for Birmingham, Queen’s and Eastbourne. The 19-year-old did reach the second-round in Ilkley.
These two are both making their bow at Wimbledon so there is a sense of uncertainty surrounding both, even though Quinn is two years older and much further up in the world rankings. The American will likely make it through, but Searle may ask a few questions on his debut.
