Emma Raducanu vs Oleksandra Oliynykova prediction
Emma Raducanu advanced to her fifth career WTA semi-final after beating Maja Chwalinska in straight sets. The British number one made a fast start, winning the first set without conceding a single service game. The second was more competitive but Raducanu wrapped up a 6-0 6-4 victory and is still yet to drop a set this week. She is one match away from her first final on tour since the 2021 US Open.
She goes up against Oleksandra Oliynykova next, as the Ukrainian pulled off an upset by beating Xinyu Wang in straight sets. Wang had her opportunities in the match, but remarkably Oliynykova saved 21 out of 23 break points on offer. She broke as Wang was serving to stay in the contest, winning 6-4 6-4 after two hours and one minute.
Oliynykova cannot afford to give up the same number of chances to Raducanu, and the Brit will be determined to get through to the final after a number of near misses in semi-finals over the years.
