Emma Raducanu vs Maja Chwalinska prediction
Emma Raducanu recovered from a poor start to make it through to the next round of the Transylvania Open. She went 5-0 down in the first set against opponent Kaja Juvan but quickly found her feet as she won 12 of the next 13 games to win 7-5 6-1.
She will now take on Maja Chwalinska after she beat Olga Danilovic in three sets. She took the first set comfortably, but Danilovic fought back in the second with three breaks of serve to level the match. Despite that setback, the Pole regrouped with two early breaks of her own at the start of the decider and went on to win 6-1 1-6 6-2 after one hour and 53 minutes.
Raducanu really found her groove in the middle of her last match, and she will be difficult to stop if she maintains that level against Chwalinska. This is a brilliant opportunity for the British number one to make a deep run at an event right at the start of the year, and she will be expected to win in straight sets for a third match in a row.
