Emma Raducanu vs Anastasia Zakharova prediction
British number one Emma Raducanu starts her campaign in the second-round as she received a bye. She has teamed up with former coach Mark Petchey for this event. Raducanu did reach her first final since the 2021 US Open last month at the Transylvania Open, but she lost in the final to Sorana Cirstea. She then competed in Doha and Dubai, but did not look close to her best physically as she lost in round one of both events.
Raducanu faces Anastasia Zakharova after her win over Ella Seidel in round one. Zakharova wad dominant throughout, conceding just the one break point as she won 6-2 6-2 after just one hour and six minutes.
Raducanu will be the heavy favourite to win, and she may have benefitted from a small break away from the tour after a very busy February, which saw her compete in three tournaments in consecutive weeks. Zakharova performed strongly in her first-round match, but Raducanu has the advantage here.
