Emma Navarro is the 26th seed at the US Open. Navarro struggled to make a significant impact during the North American hard court swing, with her campaigns in Washington, Toronto and Cincinnati all ending by the third-round. Her most recent appearance saw her suffer a straight sets defeat to Jessica Pegula at the latter event. She has still reached two tour-level finals in 2026, winning the title in Strasbourg. Navarro advanced to the semi-finals at Flushing Meadows in 2024.

Her first-round opponent in New York is Lois Boisson. The 2025 Roland Garros semi-finalist was forced to retire from her opening match at the WTA 125k event in Philadelphia earlier this week. She also has just four wins from 14 matches this year.

Navarro leads the head-to-head 1-0 after a win in Beijing last year, which also saw the Frenchwoman retire in the second set. She should have far too much quality in this particular contest.
