Emma Navarro vs Elena-Gabriela Ruse prediction

Emma Navarro continued her impressive run of form as she defeated top seed and six-time Grand Slam champion Iga Swiatek to reach the quarter-finals at the Bad Homburg Open. Navarro had won their last meeting in Beijing at the end of last year, and she did so again here after a 7-5 2-6 6-3 win. The American reached the final of the Nottingham Open last week and now has six wins from eight matches on grass in 2026.

She will face Elena-Gabriela Ruse for a place in the semi-finals. The Romanian beat Anna Kalinskaya in straight sets. Ruse edged ahead after a tight first set and dominated after that to win 7-5 6-2.

Navarro leads the head-to-head 3-0, but this is their first meeting on grass. They played each other earlier this season in Dubai, with Navarro winning in straight sets. She has found form over the last six weeks, and this is a brilliant opportunity for her to reach the semi-finals.
