Emilio Nava vs Zizou Bergs prediction

Emilio Nava usually competes on clay but he's enjoyed a spell on the hard courts during this North American summer swing. It started off impressively as he reached the quarter-finals in Los Cabos. He was a set and a break up against top seed Andrey Rublev, who eventually came back to defeat him. His tournament in Washington was more short-lived as he lost 6-1 6-4 to teenager Learner Tien in round one but he bounced back to beat Mitchell Krueger in the qualifying for this event.

Zizou Bergs has endured a slide in form ever since he reached the second final of his career at the Libema Open in June. Since his victory in the semi-final of that tournament, he has lost his last five matches. The end of the grass court swing was a disappointing one for the Belgian, and his fortunes did not improve last week as he lost to Dan Evans in the first-round of the Washington Open. He won the first set but this was an error-strewn display from Bergs, who committed over 60 unforced errors.

Bergs will still be viewed as the favourite against Nava but he’s struggling to produce results right now and will have to work hard for his victory.
