Elvina Kalieva vs Lanlana Tararudee prediction

Elina Kalieva was taken to a deciding set in all three of her qualifying matches, but she still secured her place in the main draw of the US Open after a victory in the final stage against Vendula Valdmannova. The American reached a career-high ranking of 120 earlier this month, and she will be making her main draw debut at a Grand Slam. Kalieva’s highlight of the campaign was right at the start of the year, as she won an ITF title in San Diego.

Her first-round opponent is Lanlana Tararudee. She found form last month, winning a lower-level title in Istanbul, and then backing that up on the WTA Tour with a quarter-final run at the Prague Open. Tararudee also qualified for the Canadian Open, but she withdrew from the event before her match with Amanda Anisimova took place.

Tararudee is further ahead in terms of her development, and she has to be regarded as the likeliest to win this match.
