Elise Mertens will be leaning on all of her experience and pedigree against rising Czech star Tereza Valentova.

The Belgian was in solid form as she claimed a 7-6 6-3 victory over Cristina Bucsa but now faces a teenager who continues to make strides up the rankings.

Valentova demolished Alexandra Eala 6-1 6-2 to maintain an excellent spell of form across all levels.
