Elisabetta Cocciaretto vs Ann Li prediction

Ann Li dug deep to bite back and see off her fellow American Katie Volynets to reach the round of 16.

The fourth seed battled hard to force a decider and then pulled clear to post a 4-6 7-5 6-2 victory.

Li now meets Elisabetta Cocciaretto for the second time after the Italian eased to a 6-3 6-4 win over Japan’s Ayano Shimizu.

The American defeated Cocciaretto by that same 6-3 6-4 scoreline when they met in Guangzhou back in October and will feel good about her gameplan heading into this latest tussle.

The match will likely be played on Li’s racquet and if she stays consistent from the baseline and makes her shot, she should book a quarter-final berth.
