Eliot Spizzirri vs Yibing Wu prediction

Eliot Spizzirri delivered an excellent serving display on his Australian Open debut, beating the hugely promising 26th seed Joao Fonseca in four sets.

For those following the 24-year-old American's recent emergence though, this wasn't an altogether surprising result from the man who reached the quarter-finals of the ASB Classic just one week ago.

Yibing Wu came through qualifying to reach the main draw of a Grand Slam for the first time since the 2024 US Open, and the Chinese 26-year-old impressively held off Luca Nardi in a four-set victory in the first round.

There doesn't seem to be an awful lot separating these two, but after playing so well in eliminating a seed in the first round, we think Spizzirri is playing to a slightly higher level right now.
