Eliot Spizzirri comes into this one on the back of being one of the surprise losers to British qualifier James Pinnington-Jones at the Dallas Open last month, losing in three sets due to two tiebreaks after he had defeated James Duckworth. Spizzirri impressively reached the third round of the Australian Open in Melbourne last month.
Gabriel Diallo enjoyed something of a breakthrough year in 2025 with his first career title in the ATP 250 Libema Open in the Netherlands, while also reaching the second round in three of the four Grand Slam events. Diallo was knocked out in straight sets by Ben Shelton in the first round of the Dallas Open last week.
That is now a four-match losing streak for Diallo in 2026 and Spizzirri is expected to run out as a comfortable winner in Florida in the first round.
