Elina Svitolina vs Iga Swiatek prediction
Elina Svitolina reached her seventh semi-final of the campaign as she came from a set down to beat Ekaterina Alexandrova. Svitolina went an early break up in the first set, but Alexandrova fought back to take the lead. The Ukrainian completely dominated the second and broke on three more occasions in the decider to win 3-6 6-0 6-3 after one hour and 33 minutes. The 31-year-old won this event back in 2017.
She will face Iga Swiatek next. The Pole continued her resurgence as she powered past Diana Shnaider. The former world number one did not even concede a break point as she won 6-2 6-1 after an hour and four minutes. She now equals her best result of the season, and is just one match away from her first final of 2026.
Swiatek leads the head-to-head 4-3 and 2-1 on outdoor hard court, but Svitolina has won their two previous meetings at Indian Wells and Rome this year. The six-time Grand Slam champion seems to have rediscovered her best level at this event, and although this is likely to be her toughest test so far, she has enough quality to get past Svitolina.
