Elias Ymer vs Mikael Ymer prediction

There’s a very strong family feeling to the sport of tennis right now, with Valentin Vacherot defeating his cousin Arthur Rinderknech in the final of the Shanghai Masters, and it continues in Stockholm as the Ymer brothers face each other in the first-round. Elias may be the higher ranked player of the two, but his recent form is very poor, with no wins in his last eight matches. His last victory came in early August in round two of the Porto Challenger.

Mikael has not competed at a tournament since the Challenger in Bonn over two months ago. He withdrew in the second qualifying stage. He is ranked way outside the top 600, having been ranked at a career best of 50 in April 2023. He was banned for 18 months after breaching anti-doping rules, and his comeback year has not gone as planned.

This could go all the way to three sets, with Elias struggling for form and Mikael only just making a return.
