Elena Rybakina vs Karolina Muchova prediction

Elena Rybakina got past Paula Badosa to make the quarter-finals in Brisbane. Badosa made a strong start, breaking Rybakina in her first service game to establish a 2-0 lead. However, that would prove to be the last time she broke the Rybakina serve, as the 2022 Wimbledon champion largely dominated the rest of the match, winning 6-3 6-2. She has won her last 14 completed matches, stretching back to last season.

She faces Karolina Muchova after she picked up a strong win in the last match, defeating world number 10 Ekaterina Alexandrova in straight sets. The match began with four consecutive breaks of serve, but Muchova established a lead towards the end of the first and broke at the end of the second set to win 6-4 7-5.

The head-to-head is locked at 1-1 but they’ve not played each other since 2023. Rybakina seems to have picked up from where she left off at the end of last season and will be the clear favourite to advance.
