Recent Wimbledon Junior finalist Julieta Pareja is a player to keep a close eye on not only here at Flushing Meadows, but also heading into the future. To be making her US Open debut at the age of just 16 is a testament to her talent. Pareja’s debut on the WTA tour saw her reach the semi-finals in Bogota, another exciting sign.
This match however, represents by far the biggest challenge for her career so far. Elena Rybakina is a top ten seed for a reason and will be desperately motivated to perform well in a Grand Slam event where she has had problems in the past.
