Elena Rybakina vs Iga Swiatek Prediction

Elena Rybakina has been flying the flag for Kazakhstan in style in the United Cup as she has won all three of her singles’ matches so far. The 25-year-old has shrugged off news surrounding her former coach being provisionally suspended by the WTA Tour to play at a really high level this week and not be distracted by the news.

She dominated Spain’s Jessica Bouzas Maneiro and Greece’s Maria Sakkari in straight sets in the group stage and then she comprehensively beat Germany’s Laura Siegemund in the quarter-finals dropping just four games.

She will now face her toughest test to date as she comes up against Polish star Iga Swiatek who is in fine form herself.

The world number two came through a really tough match with Great Britain’s Katie Boulter in three sets in the quarters. That was the hardest test she has had so far but Swiatek came through it and now she will face another really difficult challenge against he world number six.

Rybakina leads the head-to-head between the two 4-2 and she won the last meeting in a semi-final last year in Stuttgart.  Swiatek did beat her in a final in Doha last year also and there really is little dividing the two based on previous meetings.

It would be no surprise if this was another tough encounter that went the distance. Rybakina is serving incredibly well while Swiatek is looking like she is going to have a strong 2025 based on the early signs this last week.
