Elena Rybakina vs Eva Lys prediction

Former champion Elena Rybakina will have her sights set on a strong return to the Eternal City.

The Kazakhstani did not compete in Rome last year and did not defend her 2023 title, so she will be eager to make a significant impression this time around.

The 25-year-old has recently dropped out of the world’s top ten and did not make much of a mark in Madrid, despite conditions suiting her power game.  

This will be Rybakina’s first ever meeting with world number 63 Eva Lys and the 23-year-old German has made great strides this year as she has catapulted into the top 100 and then some. 

Rybakina should have far too much on the serve and if she takes full advantage of Lys’ second serve, she should come up trumps.
