Elena-Gabrela Ruse has not featured on the tour since her opening round loss to Kaitlin Quevedo at the Iasi Open two weeks ago. The Romanian also suffered an early exit at Wimbledon, losing to Caty McNally in straight sets. She faces Peyton Stearns in the first-round. The American’s highlight of the season was her run to the title in Texas at the ATX Open. Her form after that was largely disappointing, but she did advance to the quarter-finals in Memphis last week.
