Ekaterina Alexandrova vs Mirra Andreeva prediction

Ekaterina Alexandrova produced a brilliant performance to comfortably beat Linda Noskova as she advanced to the quarter-finals of the China Open. The Russian saved all four break point opportunities and won 88% of her first serve points, completing a 6-2 6-2 victory after just an hour and six minutes. Alexandrova has also beaten Aliaksandra Sasnovich and Diana Shnaider.

She now takes on compatriot Mirra Andreeva for a place in the last four. The 19-year-old was dominant against Daria Snigur in the previous round, also winning 6-2 6-2. Andreeva conceded just the one break point and broke Snigur’s serve on four separate occasions.

Alexandrova does lead the head-to-head 2-0 and is yet to drop a set to Andreeva. They last played at the Bad Homburg Open in June, with the 31-year-old winning 6-3 6-4. She has performed strongly so far at this event, but the world number five remains the favourite to advance.
