Ekaterina Alexandrova vs Lin Zhu prediction
Ekaterina Alexandrova has not featured in the main draw at this tournament for six years so it will be interesting to see how the Russian fares in Montreal. She is ranked 12th this year and she will be hoping to put in a good showing even though her performances on hard courts has not been the best this year so far.
She will take on Lin Zhu who has playing some consistent tennis this year but not of any real quality. She has never won a match at the Canadian Open prior to his first-round win over Varvara Gracheva and it is hard to see her overly troubling Alexandrova in this one neither.
Unless Alexandrova is woefully off the pace or comes into this one with little or no motivation, we expect her to get the win and progress.
