The Kazakhstani fired 10 aces and 32 winners as she overpowered the diminutive Italian by an emphatic 6-3 6-2 scoreline.
The third seed will now take on Ekaterina Alexandrova after the fourth seed defeated Diana Shnaider 6-3 6-4 in an all-Russian affair.
Interestingly, the head-to-head heavily favours Alexandrova as she leads 3-1 with her only success coming on the clay in Rome.
Alexandrova’s trio of wins have all come on hardcourts and she will feel she has the game-plan to pull off a mini shock here.
That said, when Rybakina is seeing the ball as big and unleashing easy power so consistently, it’s tough for anyone to live with her and that makes this very tough to pick with the third seed a decent favourite, albeit by taking a punt on her clinching it in a decider.
