Dusan Lajovic entered Wimbledon as a lucky loser following the withdrawal of Jack Draper, with the Serb losing his first-round match against Taylor Fritz in straight sets on Court One. Lajovic has reached two quarter-finals on the Challenger Tour this season, but his ranking is now outside of the top 150 in the world. He is a former champion at this event, winning the title in 2019.

He will face Luca Van Assche in the first-round. He retired from his opening round match at Wimbledon against Marton Fucsovics. This was a disappointment for the Frenchman, following his title in Parma on the Challenger Tour just a week earlier. He has now won three titles at that level this season.
