Dusan Lajovic will bid to kick-start a 2025 that has seen the Serb pick up just two tour-level wins.

The 34-year-old has been predominantly active on the dirt with an eye-catching win over clay-specialist Cristian Garin in qualifying suggesting his fortunes may be improving.

American Ethan Quinn stands in his way on terms of a place in the second round with the 21-year-old still finding his feet in his first full season on tour.

Notably, the youngster took down Jordan Thompson on the dirt in Houston and came through qualifying before falling to Carlos Alcaraz in Barcelona.

The world number 119 just about edged through qualifying in the Spanish capital with a final set tie-break win over Thiago Monteiro and could pose the veteran Serb some trouble in fast conditions. 

This will be their first meeting and it could well go the distance.
