Donna Vekic vs Tereza Valentova prediction

Donna Vekic will be hoping to end a three-match losing run when she competes in the first-round of Indian Wells. Her highlight of the season so far is a run to the final in Manilla, where she lost to Camila Osorio. However, she has since followed that up with a qualifying defeat in Doha to Elisabetta Cocciaretto, along with a loss in Merida to eventual winner Cristina Bucsa.

She faces Tereza Valentova in round one. The youngster is now safely inside the top 50 of the world rankings. She has impressed so far this season, primarily with a run to the third-round of the Australian Open, her best result at a Grand Slam so far in her career. Valentova also qualified for the Qatar Open as she made round two. She last competed in Dubai but was forced to retire from her first-round match against Kimberly Birrell. 

Valentova is the favourite for this one, and she will hope to continue her growth on the WTA Tour with a win over Vekic.
