Donna Vekic has not made a strong start on grass this season with two first-round exits at Queen’s Club and the German Open. She lost 6-3 6-3 to Anastasia Zakharova in London, not even breaking her opponent’s serve. She is set to lock horns with Diana Shnaider but also played the Russian just last week in Berlin, losing in straight sets once more.
