Dominic Stricker was handed a wildcard for his home event at the Swiss Open. He does have two lower-level titles this season, but his ranking is outside of the top 300 in the world. Stricker has five previous appearances at the tournament, making the second-round on three occasions.
He takes on eighth seed Jaume Munar in round one. Munar advanced to the third-round of Wimbledon for the second successive year.
