Brisbane Broncos have been arguably the biggest flop of the 2026 NRL campaign. Grand Final winners last year, Michael Maguire’s side sit 15th-place going into the final weeks of this season, having lost 13 of their 19 matches. It’s been an unmitigated disaster and summed up by recent results, losing twice in a row after having shown flashes of what we saw in 2025 in their shock win over Penrith Panthers.
The Dolphins are in a comfortable fifth-place but won’t be happy with that. They’ll want to catch those directly above them with only six points separating them from the summit. On the back of two solid performances and victories, they are on the opposite end of the form scale compared to Brisbane and are likely to have the better of things when the two teams collide. They’ve been playing at a superior level all year, so back that to be reflected in the result of this game.
