Dino Prizmic vs Andrey Rublev prediction
Dino Prizmic, the young Croatian, qualified for his first US Open after beating Jason Kubler in three sets. He was a prodigious junior and captured the boys’ singles title at the 2023 French Open. Prizmic is currently ranked at 124 in the world, the best of his career so far. He has reached the final of five Challenger tournaments this season, winning two of them.
Andrey Rublev has found some form recently, reaching the quarter-finals in Cincinnati and pushing Carlos Alcaraz all the way in a close encounter. Rublev faded as he served to stay in the match, with two double faults but the Russian is in a better place compared to how he was competing a few months ago. That was Rublev’s second successive last eight finish at a Masters tournament after doing the same in Toronto a week earlier. He is a four-time US Open quarter-finalist.
Rublev will dictate the rallies with his high intensity groundstrokes and should be able to overwhelm Prizmic. If he controls the rhythm early and applies pressure, this should be a comfortable match for the former world number five.
Dino Prizmic vs Andrey Rublev tip: Andrey Rublev to win 3-0
