Diana Shnaider vs Liudmila Samsonova prediction
In her first round contest against Eva Lys the other day, Diana Shnaider won 7-5, 6-1. The Russian has underwhelmed since reaching the semi-finals at the French Open, having been knocked out in the first round on grass in Berlin and then in Nottingham.
Liudmila Samsonova comes into this second round contest on the back of her own short, straight sets first round win as she defeated Polina Kudermetova 6-3, 6-3. Samsonova has herself struggled on grass with just one win in four before that victory against the Uzbek.
Shnaider is the better of the two players, seeded number 15 for this tournament, but neither had been convincing before impressive and comfortable wins the other day so a long game could be in store.
