Denis Shapovalov vs Rafael Jodar prediction

Denis Shapovalov could only make the second-round of the Australian Open, as he fell to a tame loss to former slam champion Marin Cilic. The Canadian was blown away for large parts of the match as he lost 6-4 6-3 6-2. Now, attention turns to the Dallas Open, the highlight of Shapovalov’s season in 2025 as he won the title. He defeated Casper Ruud in the final.

He faces Spanish youngster Rafael Jodar in round one. Jodar won both of his qualifying rounds to enter the main draw of an ATP 500 event for the first time. The Spaniard also made his debut at a Grand Slam at the Australian Open, winning first-round match and then falling to a loss against Jakub Mensik in straight sets.

Jodar is a promising talent, but Shapovalov is comfortable in these conditions and should be able to return to form with a win here.
