Before being forced to withdraw in the first round of the Montreal Open against Zachary Svajda, Denis Shapovalov had reached the final of Los Cabos in Mexico with an impressive three-set victory over Cameron Norrie in the semi-finals.

The technically gifted Adrian Mannarino has hit played out some stellar matches this year, including a three-set win against Jakub Mensik at Queen’s, but he has only won on the hard court on just three occasions since the Australian Open.
