Dayana Yastremska vs Francesca Jones prediction

Dayana Yastresmka made it two wins in a week over Magda Linette as she booked her place in the last-16 of the Eastbourne International. The Ukrainian also defeated Linette in Nottingham. Yastremska was leading 6-4 6-2 before the Pole decided to retire from the match. 

She will take on Francesca Jones in the next round. Jones produced a fine display to beat Birmingham Classic champion Greet Minnen 6-4 7-5. This was her third WTA Tour win of the year and her second best win of the season in terms of the ranking of her opponent.

Jones will enjoy the test of Yastremska but her opponent has five wins from her six matches on grass this season after making the final of the Nottingham Open last week. The world number 42 also won their only previous match earlier in the season, defeating Jones in the first-round of the Madrid Open.

Yastremska will be heavily fancied to get through this one comfortably.
