Dayana Yastremska vs Camila Osorio prediction
Dayana Yastremska has been in good form in recent weeks and she will be hoping to carry that into the Canadian Open. She is ranked at number 30 in Montreal and she has good momentum after reaching the semis in Hamburg ten days ago and the final in Nottingham prior to Wimbledon.
Yastremska has done well across the different surfaces but the hard courts are arguably her best and she will be confident of doing well in Canada.
She takes on Colombia’s Camilo Osorio who is coming off her first-ever win in the Canada Open. She beat Bernarda Pera in the first round 6-3 7-5 and despite serving seven double faults, she did well and deserved the victory.
Osorio will have to raise her game notably here however and she will not be able to be as wasteful against Yastremska. We expect the Ukrainian to have too much all-round quality for Osorio who is far more comfortable on clay, and we expect Yastremska to progress.
