The opening match of the 2021 Premier League is a repeat of last year’s final as reigning champion Glen Durrant begins the defence of his title. Duzza is experiencing his first slump since joining the PDC as he has struggled to find his best game since winning the Premier League last October. Just a week after that success, he contracted COVID-19 and he suffered a raft of early exits in both televised and floor tournaments upon his return, so he is not a confident man heading into this opener. Aspinall, meanwhile, has had a couple of good runs in Players Championship tournaments this year and although he wasn’t at his best in the recent Super Series, he has to be given the edge here against a struggling Durrant.
