THE PREDICTION
This is an intriguing contest between two players who have surprisingly not faced each other in a major PDC tournament before and there are no recent meetings between the pair either as this is their first encounter since 2016. Chisnall has the edge in terms of experience as he has featured in the latter stages of major tournaments numerous times during his career and this is his fifth World Grand Prix quarter-final appearance. Cullen meanwhile, is in uncharted territory at the Grand Prix and he has only reached three major ranking quarter-finals prior to this one. How much of a factor this is remains to be seen though, Cullen has been playing with quality and composure so far this week, he notably has the best starting double percentage of any player in the last eight and has a genuine chance of winning this contest. A problem during the Yorkshireman’s career though has been consistency and the quality of Chizzy also has to be taken into consideration. Both players are capable of some heavy scoring, so if you are having a bet then you might want to visit the total 180s markets - over 8.5 in the match, Chisnall to score over 4.5 and Cullen to score over 3.5 are all appealing betting options based on the scoring potential of the pair.
