Daria Snigur produced a fine comeback in the deciding set to beat Panna Udvardy and book a place in the quarter-finals of the Libema Open. The match was suspended with Udvardy leading 4-2 in the final set. However, the Ukrainian came back to win the final four games and seal a 6-4 3-6 6-4 win. She is now into her second WTA quarter-final of the season.
She will now face Robin Montgomery. The American defeated Greet Minnen in straight sets to set up a meeting with Snigur. Montgomery converted all four of her break points and held her nerve in the second set tiebreak to win 6-4 7-6 (4). She is into the last eight of a tour-level event for the first time this season.
