Daria Snigur vs Mirra Andreeva prediction

Daria Snigur breezed past Taylah Preston to book her place in the next round of the China Open. The Ukrainian dropped the one game and required just 47 minutes to win 6-1 6-0. She came from a set down to beat two-time Grand Slam finalist Jasmine Paolini in her second-round match, and this is her best result at a WTA 1000 event this year. She is very close to breaking into the top 40 of the world rankings for the first time in her career.

Snigur faces Mirra Andreeva next. The Roland Garros champion got past Polina Kudermetova in straight sets. Andreeva did not make the strongest of starts, as she was broken on two occasions in the first set and went 4-2 down. However, she then won 10 of the final 11 games to seal a 6-4 6-1 win.

Andreeva deserves to be the clear favourite, but she has been vulnerable at times so far and Snigur looks capable of keeping at least one set competitive.
