Paula Badosa has been a Comeback Queen in more ways than one so far in Paris.

Not only is the Spaniard producing a level that belies her very little build up to the tournament following back issues, but she has also found a way to win from positions of adversity.

The tenth seed hit back from a set down to defeat four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka in the first round and she was at it again against Elena-Gabriela Ruse. 

Next up, she meets 17th seed Daria Kasatkina for a seventh time with the match-up tied at 3-3. 

Last year, Badosa retired during their clash in China but had won the two encounters prior to that which included a 6-1 6-1 success on the clay in Stuttgart. 

Kasatkina has the variety and craft on the dirt but Badosa also moves exceptionally well on the surface and has the weight of ground strokes to hit through the Australian. 

The Spaniard will be full of confidence following her last two wins and will feel this match will be on her racquet if she keeps the unforced errors to a minimum.
