Daniil Medvedev cruised past Juncheng Shang to set up a sixth career clash with Stan Wawrinka.

The Russian eased to a 6-1 6-3 success to claim a second win in as many weeks against the Chinese starlet. 

The third seed holds a 3-2 head-to-head lead over Stanimal with the Swiss veteran teeing up another clash of the former Grand Slam champions courtesy of 7-5 6-3 victory over Benjamin Hassan. 

Their only meeting in the last four years came in Rotterdam 12 months ago with Daniil hitting back to claim a 6-7 6-4 6-1 triumph. 

It could be similar here with Stan capable of nicking a set if on-song. However, even if that is the case, Medvedev will be a hot favourite to outlast the 40-year-old over the course of three sets.
