Daniil Medvedev vs Shang Juncheng prediction

Daniil Medvedev begins his quest for a second Dubai title against Juncheng Shang.

The 2023 champion is looking to kickstart the year after losing three of his last four on the back of a title run in Brisbane. 

The Russian will be confident of progressing here having beaten Shang last week by a 6-4 6-2 scoreline in Doha.

The Chinese 21-year-old’s rise has been stunted somewhat by issues finding rhythm following a lengthy injury. 

The world number 261 is capable of pulling off some excellent upsets, but Medvedev will be confident in the game-plan here and in these conditions it’s hard to go against the Russian in the match-up.
