Daniil Medvedev vs Juncheng Shang prediction
Daniil Medvedev will be looking to bounce back after two losses in a row. He was swept aside by Learner Tien in the round-of-16 at the Australian Open. After a short break, the Russian made his return at the Rotterdam Open but crashed out in the first-round as an irritated Medvedev lost in three sets to Ugo Humbert. He won this event three years ago, defeating Andy Murray in the final.
He plays Juncheng Shang in the first-round. The Chinese player, who dropped outside of the top 250 in the world rankings due to injury, began his season in encouraging fashion as he got through to the quarter-finals of the Hong Kong Open, where he lost to eventual champion Alexander Bublik. He defeated Roberto Bautista Agut at the Australian Open but lost in the second-round to Botic van de Zandschulp.
Medvedev will be out to prove a point after a dip in performance level over the past few weeks, and he’s heavily favoured to advance.
