Daniil Medvedev will be eager to go far this week and he can take some positives from his opening 6-4 7-6 win over Jan-Lennard Struff. Medvedev was largely comfortable but he only took one of the ten break points that he generated and he will have to be much more ruthless against somebody with a serve like Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard.

The French powerhouse was not quite firing on all cylinders in his first-round win over Zhizhen Zhang but he still managed to blast 13 aces and win 86% on his first serve. He will want to fine tune that and take it up a level here against Medvedev and he is more than capable of doing that.
