Daniil Medvedev vs Arthur Rinderknech prediction

Daniil Medvedev continued his hardcourt dominance over Alex de Minaur to reach the last four in Shanghai.

The Russian claimed a 6-4 6-4 success over the Aussie to reach just his second Masters 1000 semi-final of the year.

The 16th seed will now face world number 54 Arthur Rinderknech after the Frenchman secured a hugely impressive 6-3 6-4 win over Felix Auger-Aliassime.

Medvedev leads the match-up 1-0 having prevailed in straight sets at the 2022 US Open, but Rinderknech is an entirely different proposition in 2025 and Daniil is certainly not quite the sure-fire bet on a hardcourt he was back then.

Having said that, Medvedev looks much more assured at present and although Rinderknech is in the form of his life, the Russian has the pedigree and know-how at this stage of tournament and should have the edge in the end.
