Daniel Merida vs Damir Dzumhur prediction
Daniel Merida reached his second tour-level final of the season after beating Roman Andres Burruchaga. The Spaniard broke on four separate occasions as he wrapped up a 6-4 6-2 win after one hour and 21 minutes. Merida, who lost to Mariano Navone in the final of the Bucharest Open earlier this season, has not dropped a set across his four matches this week.
He will now face Damir Dzumhur. The Bosnian continued his run in Umag as he came from a set down in his second successive match to beat Alex Molcan. Dzumhur beat Matteo Arnaldi in an epic quarter-final a day earlier, and he then defeated Molcan 3-6 6-4 6-3 after two hours and 44 minutes to advance to the final.
Dzumhur managed a first serve percentage of just 52% in his semi-final and was forced to save nine of the 13 break points he faced. He will have to serve better against Merida, who has arguably been the standout player at the tournament.
