Dan Evans once again demonstrated his grass court prowess with a superb comeback win over Miomir Kecmanovic.
The veteran Brit hit back to beat the Serb 3-6 6-4 6-4 and set up a fourth showdown against Tommy Paul (including a qualifying).
Evans won the first two matches but the American triumphed in their most recent clash in the Davis Cup in 2022.
The second seed, Paul is playing his maiden match of the year on grass and for the first time since back troubles at the French Open.
If he is fully fit it’s hard to see Evans pulling off another shock, although his win over Frances Tiafoe at Queens suggests he could push it to a decider, especially if Paul takes time to adapt or is still hindered.
